Which UK Christmas Markets Have EV Charging Stations?
The festive season is upon us! Whether you’ve been singing Christmas songs since the 1st of November, or have been searching for something to get you in the festive spirit, exploring a Christmas market is bound to spread a few cheers.
From Victorian-themed markets to those specialising in pretzels (oh yes!), the UK has a wide selection of Christmas markets for you to explore. Fortunately, many of these have EV charging stations within a few minutes walking distance - so while you shop, eat and get merry, your EV can charge until it’s time to leave.

Held in Victoria Square, Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas market is the largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria! Festive stalls are stacked with traditional gifts and food (think pretzels, schnitzels, bratwursts, gluhwein, weissbier, and tasty hot chocolate)! Whether you’re there to shop, eat or just take in the sights, this market is not one to be missed.

With over 200 individual businesses selling arts, crafts, and seasonal food and drink, it’s a unique Christmas market which allows you to buy directly from the makers.

2022 marks the 15th year of London’s Winter Wonderland! This huge ticketed event consists of a wide range of fairground rides, activities, food stalls, entertainment and beer halls - something for everyone. Yes, a four-day Victorian-themed Christmas market! This truly unique Christmas market has over 300 stalls (and every stallholder is dressed in Victorian attire). Entertainment will be provided throughout the event (including a traditional fun fair) and plenty of opportunities to grab some festive food and gifts.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of St Nicholas Fair. Alpine chalets will line Parliament Street with stalls offering a wide variety of local creations and Christmas goods. Brand new to York Christmas Market for 2022 is a traditional Swiss chalet, The Winter Hütte. For passers-by, grab a seasonal drink (gluhwein and spiced cider)!
