With a mixture of Celtic traditions and modern spooky twists, Galicia around Halloween time is meant to be the perfect place to be! Whilst we know it as halloween, in Celtic mythology, it was the 'Feast of the Dead' that marked the 'New Celtic Year' - when the dark period begins! Due to this, the dead were believed to be able to walk among the living and, to keep the spirits happy (and to keep out the evil spirits), people would leave food (treats) outside! Galicia ensures that tradition is not lost!
