As an EV driver, it’s important to chat with your fellow EV lovers. Whether your friend just got an EV, or you’re relaxing at a charge point with a total stranger, now is the time to impart some wisdom and share the Electroverse!
Today, we’re going to be showing you how to earn £10 charging credit (split between the two of you!) by referring a friend in 5 easy steps!
Let’s get plugged in…
Head into the Electroverse app and tap the ‘Profile’ tab on the bottom right. Don’t forget to make sure you’re logged in!

Next, hit the ‘Vouchers and credit’ button!
Here’s where you’ll find any previously earned Electroverse credits, the opportunity to redeem any credit codes you have obtained and the ‘Refer a friend’ section.
Once you have completed these steps, you'll find the £10 credit (split between you and your friend) here!
Tap ‘Refer a friend’ to start the process!
How to share it with a virtual friend:
Once you’re in, you will see a ‘Share’ button which, when clicked, will provide an automated message and link. You can then choose to send this link to however many friends you like (via whichever messenger app you want!):
“Hey, use my link to sign up to Octopus Electroverse & we both get charging credit! [Link]”
What to do when your friend is standing next to you:
On this page, a QR code will also be provided, allowing your fellow EV driver to simply open their camera on their phone and scan it to start the referral process!
Once the referral has been made, two things will need to happen before you can receive the £10 split charging credit:
Your friend will need to sign up to the Electroverse and make their first successful charge.
You will need to complete a successful charge too (make sure this is after your referral!).
Once all of the above steps are completed, you will receive £10 charging credit between the two of you (£5 each)!* This will then automatically be put towards any EV charging you do with Electroverse in the future.
The more referrals you make, the more credit you will have - helping you save on all your EV charging!
